SPORTS
For the past four years, I have been a student videographer for K-State Athletics. Two of those years were spent with the women's basketball team traveling with them and creating all of their social media, recruiting, and video board content.
Along with women's basketball, I got to shoot a lot of football games and create the majority of their short-form content. I helped build the K-State football TikTok account to the top 10 in followers and liked college football accounts in the country. Additionally, I have had multiple football videos go viral as of recent with reshares from the NFL, CFBRedit, Unessecarry Roughness, etc.
Lastly, I have been at the forefront of building a presence of the K-State Sports TikTok account with it currently having over 30,000 followers and one million likes. I have been curating, posting, and creating almost all of the videos posted on the account.
VIRAL CONTENT
To engage students with the team, we had a few of our players go out on campus in full uniform and have some fun. We were the first collegiate or pro team to do this concept and it went over well on all platforms with millions of interactions from Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok combined.
LEE 61-POINT PERFORMANCE
After a collegiate breaking record, Ayoka Lee's teammates were there to splash her with water postgame which I had access to. This video got reposted by SportCenter, Good Morning America, and other notable outlets. I also edited a TikTok recap of the special performance.
Here you can find my favorite work from the two seasons spent with the women's basketball team. Including Instagram Reels, an intro video, an NCAA hype video, a day in the life, and some game recaps, All the videos on the accounts over the past two years have been shot, edited, and curated by me.
K-STATE WBB SEASON CONTENT
In collaboration with the Football Director of Creative Media, I got to shoot and edit the majority of the brand's short-form content. However, I did create a few long form pieces that were showcasing what goes behind the scenes day to day.
K-STATE FB CONTENT
MLB DRAFT
For the first time in K-State baseball history, we had a player go in the 1st round of the draft with Jordan Wicks. I was sent to Denver, CO to cover the event from a video, photo, and social standpoint. This included a pre-draft hype video, full recap piece, a Tik Tok, and pre-draft fit pics. This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience and I was really proud of how much content we got out of the draft.
ALL SPORTS
I lead the efforts in the K-State sports Tik Tok account posting, curating, and creating the majority of the content published. Along with this, I got to edit recaps that included all of the sports teams and even won a CoSIDA award for the best recap video of the year.
